The FCC Darts Masters began life way back in 2012 with the first season comprising of 13 players with matches consisting of 7 legs of 501. Of those who played in the leagues first season four players, Paul McDonald, Barry McAtominey, John Croft and Danny McAtominey have remained ever present in the league. Paul Greaves who was also in the original league returned in its 5th season having taken a two season break.

Season 2 saw the league expand to 20 players. Among the players joining were Jason Urwin, Paul McGowan, Lee Bolam, Rob Lewins and Martyn Lockey, all of whom have remained with the league to the present day.

Over the years players have came and gone for a variety of reasons but the league has expanded to two divisions usually comprising 32 players.
